Got the gear to get you here?

This is what I took for the Disappointment Cleaver route when I did it last June. I’ll be doing the mountain again this year so I made this list to help me and my buddies with planning. Scroll to the bottom of the post to get a printable PDF version of the list.

This list would also be great for any peak with glacier travel that requires 2-3 days to ascend.

GEAR
large backpack (mine is ~4,500 cubic inches)
small daypack/summit pack
bivy sack (everyone else had a tent)
sleeping pad
sleeping bag (mine is rated to 20 degrees and it was barely enough)
compression sack for sleeping bag
glacier glasses
goggles (didn’t use)

CLIMBING GEAR
100’ piece of 10mm rope (thinner rope preferable but this is what I had around)
harness
prussiks w/foot loops
2 pickets
2 pulleys
ice axe w/leash
crampons w/anti-bot plates
trekking poles
carabiners (don’t remember how many)

headlamp with extra batteries
digital camera with two batteries
camera case

2 lip balms
basic first aid kit

dude all you need is 30m 8mm carrying so much weight with that 10mm haha…
